How many people read the labels on packaged foods? Far too few in my opinion. If you knew what was hiding behind those E-Numbers you might take a closer look at those labels. Yes if you take a look at some labels you will see ingredients described as e.g. Stabiliser (E435). Many ingredients with E-numbers are already banned in numerous countries due to the fact that they are known to cause problems in humans, particularly allergies, yet in countries like South Africa they might be permitted.
